Researcher Florencia Sofía Gómez gives a talk on emerging pollutants at Pint of Science 2025

Last Tuesday, May 20^th, the lecture “Microcontaminants. Can you eat that?” took place on the X edition of the Pint Of Science organized by the Scientific Culture Unit of the University of Cantabria.
The researcher Florencia Sofía Gómez, from the Dept. of Chemistry and Process and Resources Engineering of the University of Cantabria, explained the topic of emerging contaminants in water and their impact on the environment. The event took place at «Coctelería la Solía», Santander.
This talk was motivated by the European research project BAPUR “Fully Bio-based Advanced Filtration Systems for Removal of Emerging Pollutants from Water”, which seeks to remove emerging pollutants from water through multilayer filters from waste.
