BAPUR attends D4Runoff Open Day in Odense, Denmark
On November 12, D4RUNOFF organised its Final Open Day in Odense, Denmark. BAPUR was invited as «sister projects» and participated in the flash talks.

D4RUNOFF (Horizon funding) is formed by 13 leading universities, institutions and companies from 5 countries. The main objective of the project is to develop monitoring and assessment strategies for contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) removal from urban runoff.
Specific objectives include:
- Novel detection methods for runoff pollutantscharacterisation
- Novel sensors for identifying and monitoring of CECs
- Multi-criteria methodology for the design of cost-effective mitigation hybrid solutions
- AI-assisted management platform to support water management stakeholders
Three case studiews were included in the scope of the project: Bolbro area (Odense, Denmark), Santander (Cantabria, Spain) and Pontedera (Tuscany, Italy).
The monitoring of CECs is a fundamental pillar of the BAPUR project, and the insights explained in the different deliverables provide very valuable information to this project, which is now a D4RUNOFF interested partner.
We would like to highlight the serious game developed under the scope of the project, to help the general public understand the use of nature based solutions (NBS) for CECs assessment.
On our part, BAPUR was presented to the D4RUNOFF parters, including the scope, the general objectives and the current achievements.
